How do I add to the shopping cart?
You can add to the shopping cart basket directly from the products thumbnail page or from the detailed page of a product. Next to the main image of every product there is a box titled "add to cart", within this box there will be a button which you can click on to add this item to the basket.

How do I know my item has been added to the shopping cart?
Once you have clicked on the "add to cart" button to place the item in your shopping cart basket, your page will refresh and the item will be added to your cart. You can then locate the shopping cart basket in either side columns of the online store or the link to "Edit Cart" in the top menu navigation bar. Your items will be listed in the basket, you can also edit them further from here.

How do I get to the checkout?
First locate the shopping cart basket in either side columns of the online store or the link to "Checkout" in the top menu navigation bar. When the link to "Checkout" is clicked on, it will take you directly to the secure checkout for completion of the purchase.

First locate the shopping cart basket in either side columns of the online store or the link to "Edit Cart" in the top menu navigation bar.

How do I check the shipping cost on my items?
We have a flat rate of $15 per order OR FREE for orders over $250 within Australia only.  Parcels will be sent registered via Australia Post therefore requiring a signature at your end.  We do not ship overseas.

How do I know my order has been received?
Once an order is received to Safety Gear Express administration, you will receive an order confirmation email to the address you entered during the sites secure checkout.  Please check your order carefully and advise us immediately of any errors.

How do I track my order? Has it been shipped?
You can check the status of your order by clicking into the "Order Tracking" section via the link on the top menu navigation bar.

Please contact us if your order has not been received within the time originally stated in the checkout or what you deem to be reasonable.

When will my backorder arrive?
We will be in contact with you directly if there are any backorders and the progress of them.   If the item is later than expected, please contact us.

How do I create an account?
In the side column of the online store you will see a members box. In this box you can click on the link to go to the secure log in or account creation page. Once you have created the account, you can use this for future purchases where the items you place in your basket will be remembered even if you leave this online store and come back later.


If you are a member with a discount for all purchases, you will need to log in first to ensure the discount is applied to your purchase.

I forgot my password.
On the edit page of your account, found via the "Members" box, there is a link called "Forgotten your password? Click here." This is where you can have your password emailed directly to you.

We only ship within Australia.

What are my payment choices?
Payment options will be listed on the third page of the secure checkout. At the base of the page there will be a drop down list to choose your preferred method.  We accept Direct Bank Deposit, PayPal, Visa and Mastercard.  Payment by credit card or instant payment from your bank account is processed through PayPal. Payments are made via a secure server. Your card details are never made known to us.

PayPal Security & Privacy       Is PayPal safe to use?
PayPal protects your financial information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems. When you use PayPal, your financial information is not shared with us. Once your payment is complete, you will be emailed a PayPal receipt for this transaction.  You do not need to have a PayPal account to use this payment service.

Or you may choose to deposit the funds (eft) directly into our bank account without going through PayPal, if you choose this method please allow 1-2 days for your payment to show up at our end on our bank statement before we are able to send the goods.
For special orders of customised workwear and/or large bulk orders we only accept payment by direct bank deposit (EFT). 

For direct bank deposit (EFT) our bank details will be displayed to you during checkout, but if you miss them, don't worry they will also be on your confirmation email order that will be emailed to you within 10 mins of completion through check out.

When will my order be shipped and what are my shipping charges?
Please allow up to 10 business days to receive your order depending on your location. Items that are in stock may be quicker. 
We are in located in the Hunter Valley NSW so orders within the same state will be much faster than those in remote WA for example.  If there is an urgency to your order please contact us first to check stock availablity.
Shipping is a flat rate of $15 by courier to a business address or Australia Post to a private address $25 per bag or free for orders over $250 by courier to a business address for Australia only.

When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card is charged immediately on purchase, if your card can not be charged, the goods you ordered will not be sent.  If you paid by direct bank deposit (eft), we will have to wait until your payment shows up on our bank statement usually 1-2 days before despatching goods.

Place an advanced order
This item is on order.  We can usually receive orders within a few days depending on our supplier's stocks, so your order won't be held up too long.  Once receive by us we will then promptly forward onto you.  Or alternatively on larger orders we can get them shipped directly to you from our Melbourne supplier but please ask us first by contacting us by email or phone.

Refunds & Exchanges
Always contact us first by email or phone BEFORE returning any goods.

We try to provide as much information as possible on our description and sizing of goods so please select very carefully and double check your confirmation email that is sent to you after you go through the checkout.  If you have made a mistake in your order, you must contact us immediately to rectify it.

If you simply made a mistake in your sizing/colour then we are happy to exchange but ask for you to cover the postal costs both ways.  Goods to be refunded or exchanged must be in their original packaging, unworn, from a smoke free environment and in the same condition as you received them.  Any refunds will be processed after we have received the goods and they have been checked.  Please ensure the packaging and tags are not ripped off and damaged as we need to be able to re-sell the item presented in a new condition.  If the goods do not arrive back in excellent condition only a part refund will be given.  We highly recommend that you return any goods to us using registered post, we will not be held responsible for goods that go missing via regular post.

There are no refunds or exchange on CLEARANCE ITEMS

If we had a shocker of a day and made a mistake with the supply of your order then of course we would expect to cover the postal costs both ways.  The same applies to faulty goods.

If you have simply changed your mind, we are happy to refund providing that the goods are still in excellent condition but ask you to cover the cost of the return postage.  Note: there are no refunds on Clearance Items.

All returns must be within 14 days from the date of delivery. Returns after this date will be considered, but not necessarily honoured.

Customised products with logo's cannot be returned if incorrect sizing of garments are ordered, so please choose your sizing carefully.
